CAMBITION & Burwash Larder – Another Happy Customer
Burwash Larder contacted CAMBITION after an initial meeting at an Indie Cambridge Network Event, hosted by Hot Numbers. Burwash Larder needed to enhance and future-proof their Information Technology, as to improve communications and internet / website functionality. They were impressed by the initial response of CAMBITION and arranged a more thorough (and FREE) on-site consultation. Subsequently CAMBITION created a detailed proposal of I.T. improvements, as follows:
Internet Service Provider (ISP) & Connection Speed Upgrade
CAMBITION proposed for Burwash Larder to conclude their contract with BT and begin a new ISP Service contract with CAMBITION, with guaranteed internet connection speeds of c50Mbps (rather than the c<30Mbps that they were previously receiving).
Internet Connection Hardware Upgrade
CAMBITION proposed the installation of a more modern and powerful Router, as to facilitate 5GHz Wi-Fi. Burwash Larder is a large complex, with staff members occasionally experiencing intermittent wireless signal and regular drop outs of their internet completely. CAMBITION proposed liaising directly with Openreach as to fix the onsite connectivity (with their local exchange) and to test the onsite cabling for faults.
VoIP Telecoms Upgrade
Burwash Larder were unsatisfied by the high costs of telecoms provided by BT. This became such an issue that staff members began using a mobile phone to make business calls. CAMBITION proposed for Burwash Larder to end their contract with BT and begin a VoIP Telecoms Service with the hosted CAMBITION system, which would provide a DECT (Cordless) phone that could be used anywhere inside the building. CAMBITION also recommended the VoIP mobile application which is installed onto any mobile phone (Words Over 4G & Wifi) and twinned with the DECT phone for incoming and outgoing calls. It was advised that Burwash Manor retain their existing telephone number, as CAMBITION can directly attached the DECT phone and the mobile app to allow calls in and out, all with the same pre-existing number.
Website Domain & Microsoft 365
CAMBITION proposed to migrate the Burwash Manor website domain to a CAMBITION Service. This process would involve taking a backup of the current live website and migrating the data over to the CAMBITION UK Secured Hosting Server and preparing the site for relaunch on the new platform. Furthermore, CAMBITION also proposed migrating the pre-existing email system over to Microsoft 365, as this would future-proof their service and provide significant enhancements. CAMBITION would make the necessary DNS changes to the domain and test all system features to ensure optimal functionality. It was calculated by CAMBITION that Burwash Manor would save c12% annually by transferring to CAMBITION Website Domain & Microsoft 365 services.
Burwash Manor were very happy with the initial engagement of CAMBITION and the Project Proposal. They confirmed their approval and the various work was swiftly undertaken by CAMBITION. Now that all new services have begun, Burwash Manor are very happy with the improvements and can now begin saving money with the services provided by CAMBITION.
