FTTP (Fibre to the premises) is a pure fibre-optic cable connection meaning that there are fibre cables running from the junction box all the way to the business premises. FTTP is known for superior speed much higher than FTTC, where the cables from the junction box to the business premises are standard copper cables rather than fibre optics. Fibre cable are able to transfer more data than standard cables therefore FTTP gives you faster internet speeds and a more reliable connection.
FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet) is a connectivity technology that is based on a combination of fibre optic cable and copper cable. It uses fibre optic cable right up to the street cabinet and then copper cables from the cabinet to the business premises. Fibre Broadband is an ideal solution for businesses that require stable speeds, secure connection and a more cost effective solution. In most cases a FTTC connection is sufficient.
